I need to buy a new car and today I got an offer on a 2008 Honda Fit with 66,000 miles on it for $5,000. I'm a 19 year old girl and I know nothing about cars D: Are Honda Fits good cars? Should I buy this with so many miles already on it? Also, I like to travel. Will this car be safe to drive long distances?
My girlfriend and I are moving to Knoxville Tennessee from Miami, fl. We're planning the trip for February, we will be 21. Our Main Reason is for cheap living, school and just getting away. It will be the first time we move out of our parents home. We already looked into U-Haul, we're going with the 5x9 trailer. We're gonna be using my 97 Honda Civic, gonna need to install a tow hitch as well. We're planning on only bringing her queen bed and mattress set with our 150cc scooter along with two 40 gallon tanks from our bearded dragons. That's all that's going in the trailer if more room is available were putting boxes of clothes. In my trunk I'm putting in boxes of clothes whatever it can fit really. If necessary I could tie something to the roof of my car. In my backseat is going be our two Dogs and front seat is us two. We're gonna make a few stops along the way to let the car cool off and eat, restroom etc.
I wanted to know things like:
What should I be expecting along the way?
What kind of weather conditions will I be faced with? Were planning to leave in the morning.
What would be the best method for driving there?
Where should be the best place to live in Knoxville?
What kind of major State Laws should I know about?
any other information on the state is appreciated! Even if it's just resident humor or habits or funny words to know. Like there's no lunch just dinner and super lol.
I'm 6'4" and I need a new car. I've tried the Hyundai Sonata, the Nissan Altima, the Honda Accord and the Chevy Malibu. I actually liked the Malibu the best and I also fit best in the Malibu by a long shot. The other cars just didn't compare in size or style in a lot of ways (ok the Accord was really nice actually). On top of these I also drove the Chevy Cruze which was actually better in terms of space for a tall driver than the Malibu. So the two contenders for me are the Cruze or the Malibu. Now the recalls…
I'm of course quite concerned about the recalls lately. Both the Malibu and the Cruze have had recent recalls. Is it just that Chevy is under a microscope right now, or is there enough evidence to believe there's a systemic problem with all Chevy's and they should be a avoided for the time being.
Please don't tell me how much you love you Altima or Accord - I would really like if somebody could address the question I have here whole heartedly.
I bumped a car while parallel parking. It was a tight spot so i though i had enough space but i really didn't. The car was not damaged because it was a very light tough. My question is how can i know if a car will fit into the space? I drive a honda civic so i'm wondering how big the space has to be to get in? I have no problem parallel parking but sometimes the parallel parking space confuses me.
I have a 2006 Volkswagan Passat 1.9TDI and the bloody thing is all over the road, far to soft suspension. My friend was sell a set of coilovers off a 2008 Honda Accord 2.2CDTI. Will they fit on my Passat?
I have had a couple bikes in the past that I only kept a couple years and sold. Both 650s. I decided to try out a different bike. I wanted something classic and the cafe racers kind of caught my eye.
So I found this 1975 Honda CL360 Scrambler for $2000.00 in excellent shape. I'm thinking about picking it up.
However I have been reading that these bikes were meant for first time riders, and my wife and I are both about 175lbs. She would kill me if she didn't fit on the thing.
Basically I'm starting to question this purchase, it may be unwise? You think this bike is ok? If not could you direct me to a classic bike that might be more fitting?
We had an especially bad winter. My battery went dead & due to being plowed in, my car, just, sat in the driveway. Days later my son came over with his big charger & got it running… Left it running for a long time. About half an hour after he left, I went out to start it… Wouldn't start, just, made a rat-ta-tat tat! So I waited a few more days, 'til my son came back… Got it started again & followed me to get a new battery! Then, both my remote keys wouldn't work, my interior lights, radio, hatch won't work. I have tried to find out online how to reset these. I found something about the radio [I do have the code tag], but it says the word "Code" would show in the radio window & it doesn't, so, I don't know how to reset anything for any of these problems! It was, too, nasty outside to, even, try before! Can anyone help> Thanks!
My honda fit also has the built in navigation but does not have the satellite radio feature. For anyone that has this type of car or had this type of situation was the dealer able to add a software of some sort and get it or will I have to buy the add on to connect to the dash?
