What's a good beginner motorcycle?

So i want to get my motorcycle license soon, i have never driven a motorcycle in my life so what would be a good bike for beginners? I know how to drive a manual car so getting used to the gear changing shouldn't be to difficult. I was thinking about a Honda cbr300r.

How difficult is it to rebuild my Honda Rebel Motorcycle transmission?

It is an 06 Honda CMX250. There are broken fork shards inside the transmission (possibly the engine) and I don't have the money to take it in or get a new bike. I have past experience rebuilding since I rebuilt one that's exactly the same as this. I'm patient and willing to take my time to make sure everything is done right. How long would it take to take my transmission off my motorcycle, open up and clean and replace whatever parts needed?

Is my honda Rebel motorcylce battery dying?

When I ride my motorcylce and squeeze the clutch in, my bike sometimes dies. I can roll on the throttle and press the ignition button and it comes back on but will die again here and there when i hold the clutch. At night I noticed when I squeeze the clutch the light gets dim (before it dies). I did run out of gas and a few weeks ago and noticed this after using the reserves and believed it was sediment in my fuel line. Now i'm not sure.

What happened to my motorcycle?

So I have a honda rebel. I was riding today when all the sudden after shifting to second, it sounded as if a gear broke and/or fell in the engine. At that point my motorcycle refused to go forward even in neutral or with me pulling the throttle in first. There's no pull whatsoever when it is in gear, and it even slightly reverses. Then itll free the tire to go about 5 feet and stop again, unless the engine is on and I pull the throttle one more. Itll reverse a little, then give me slack to push it 5 more feet. And over and over. It does this every time. I need help. Please tell me what is wrong.
Also I would like to add that there may have been a lack of oil. I was actually going to change it today and was going to pick up my socket set to do so.

Honda Shadow Radiator Fan?

Since spring came around and I've had the chance to get my motorcycle ready to go back out for the year, I've found that my radiator fan isn't turning on and the overheating light just turns on.

I bought 2 different radiator switches for my 2003 vt750dc and neither of them managed to get the fan to turn on. I have also checked the fuse, cleaned the radiator, grounded the wire that is going to the switch, and the fan does turn on. Also, with both new switches I made sure the over heating light came on although I could tell that the bike was getting too hot before the light came on.

I don't understand why neither of the radiator fan switches worked, admittedly one was a $5 part from eBay and the other was $15 from a salvaged shadow on eBay. I was wondering if I'm missing anything or if I just need to try my luck with a brand new OEM part? Also if most Honda dealers carry this part or if I need to order it from somewhere?

(Yes, I made sure the part numbers matched on the switches)

Looking for a certain bike?

Long story short, I love the CB750. I find those 4 into 2 exhaust system fine as hell and like the standard style, but I'm a small guy who can't confidently reach the ground on it. Yet, I'm finding my CB250 to be too small.
Now it doesn't have to be Honda, but are there any under 20 year old bikes like the CB750 but smaller? Or even an American equivalent to the CB400SF?
TLDR: Looking for Inline 4 non crotch rocket for a short fella.

Wiring tips an aftermarket speedo/tach on an 84' Honda VT700 (Shadow)?

I have an 84 VT700 (Shadow). I initially was going to cut down the dash and run without a dash/speedo tach(bike came to me without one) at all, but I decided to buy a cheap chinese speedo that looked nice. On newer bikes this conversion would be easy, but i'm guessing because the original dash used non LEDs and the new speedo uses LEDs on the indicator lights, ther wiring doesn't match up so well.

Do I have to connect diodes between every dash indicator light (turn, oil pressure, neut., etc)? I have the colored wire that matches up fine with the wiring diagram in the speedo, but there's also what seems like a negative for every colored wire. Neutral light for example has a G/R but there's also a Br/B on the original wire diagram but there's nowhere to put the Br/B onto the new speedo. Do I need a diode between the two or how exactly do I wire it up? I would be glad to explain more if needed.

Can a 2016 Honda crf 230 be registered and made street legal?

My daughter is looking to buy a 2016 or 2017 Honda crf 230 enduro motorcycle. She was told she has to buy at least a crf 250 or higher to make have it street legal. She wants it mainly for off road use, but would like to it street legal and registered so she could legally drive it on the street when needed. The dealer told her that she would have to buy the crf 250 or larger to have it street legal. Is that correct?
