I had someone come look out at they said that my timing belt broke and I need a water pump. When I try the crank up the car it acts like it wants to fire up but doesn't. It overheated real bad I tried to place anti-freeze and just leaks out the lower right (if facing the engine). Could this be a cause of my problem?
Okay, I was trying to remove the SRS light like shown on YouTube, (with wires touching, untouching etc) I wasn't getting the SRS light off at all, so I connected one of the cables to the SRS connected to the ECU, then the other to the disconnected SRS cable (my 2000 honda accord has 2)
So it actually made a spark, and ofcourse magnetizing them together a bit and cables got hot, now I disconnected them and then unplugged the battery. Then after tried starting the car and didn't start, it goes as far as hearing the starter run, but no ignition. So far I've checked the fuses and they're okay. I also checked the distributor rotor and it was burnt, so I replaced it. Checked the cables for the spark plugs and they're also good. So I'm out of ideas I need my car to work desperately, and if I can fix it even better because I'm broke. (AND I LEARNED MY LESSON FOR BEING A IDIOT) please help
I posted this question here before and someone told me that the tranny for this year is rock solid and they weren't bad until the 6th gen with the 5 speed auto; however, I asked a master mechanic of 46 years what he thought and he said that the tranny in the 97 accord is weak as piss.
Come on you honda accord enthusiasts. I need your help. I keep hearing conflicting opinions. Is the transmission okay on the 97 accord or not?

I just bought my first car and am looking to upgrade the sound system. First off, the speakers are garbage. I have a 1994 Honda Accord LX and I'm pretty sure the stock speakers are still in. I have a pair of bose speakers that I could install for the time being because of how expensive the subs and amp might be.
Anyways, I listen to a lot of hip hop, so I'm looking for something that would put out a lot of bass, but still be clear enough to where I can hear the music. My budget on the subs is around $150 but I'm Willing to go a little bit higher. I don't know much about amps either. And are there any sights that give deals on subs and amps? Or would best buy be my best bet?
My 1994 Honda Accord had some major engine repairs. After fixing it my mechanic said that he did a lot of other repairs. He did not specify if he had changed the serpentine belt or the timing belt. The car has about 5,000 miles after the repair. How can l tell if the belt is new or old; or good or worn?
l want to make sure that the belt is good.
Hi, just recently bought 2005 accord with nice set of 19 inch alloys which hve been recently refurbed, guy told me I had nut rung on hub, then 2 new tyres fitted man who put them on said 2nd one is on its way out he said they are wrong alloy for car, is there a spacer to offset difference available to make them suit, they were a selling point when I bought the car n would b dissapointed to change them, any advice would be gratefull
So I need a new car since my car was totaled in an accident and am in need of a new car here pretty quick. The two cars I have been looking at are the Honda Accord and the Chevy Cruze. The car I did have was a honda accord and I loved but I haven't really been convinced on which one to go with that won't make my insurance go higher. I know the Hondas are pretty reliable but the Chevy cruze's are more within my budget. What car should I go with that won't increase my insurance but yet is still pretty reliable?

My 1997 honda accord will not start in rainy, cold weather. The past few months. Does this have anything to do with a air filter, or engine filter!
