Is 200,000+ miles too many to consider for a used Honda, Toyota, etc?

I have been trying to find something like an Accord, Civic, Corolla, or Camry for $3000 or less. Something reliable to get me around town within 30 mile drives. Many in this range have 220,000 or so miles, though I have found 1 or 2 with high 100's. Is the 200k miles a psychological barrier or should I even consider a car with such high mileage?

Honda accord improving torque, horsepower and mpg?

I have a 1996 honda accord v6 and runs great i get about 25+ mpg on highway and 17-18 in the city… This car runs great and picks up speed very well for a old module. But i want to improve my car horsepower and torque & maybe mpg if that is possible

I heard a performance chip does that job and is it true?

I have seen them on ebay for a ridiculous cheap price from 11-30 dollars is it a scam or something that people just not aware of?

also is it something that is expensive for a mechanic to put in and what is the pros and cons of performance chips?

Do you know any other suggestions to improve my torque, horsepower, and mpg?

EGR valve cost at a Mechanic's?

I have a 1990 Honda Accord DX 2.2 Lt 4 cylinder engine.
On and off, the car has been driving fine then all of a sudden (Within a 10-15 mins of driving) the check engine light will come on, then the oil and battery light will go on. The acceleration slows down, I lose all power steering and power braking. Finally the car stalls. At first the mechanic's did not get any codes and finally today, after repairing a power steering line, the engine light came on. The code was present and indicated that there's something funky going on with the EGR valve. (I know what it is and its functions). Probably carbon build up. So we're leaning towards that. My questions to you all out there's how much is the part? How much is the labor (It's on the top of my engine thank god)? And will this correct the stalling? I'm a girl but very handy-like and car educated (relatively speaking), just can't pop off bolts sometimes. So, please give me any rough estimates. I sank way too much cash into the Honda. I just want to keep her alive for my last year of college, then I'll bite the bullet, trade it in for a newer car.

First time buying a car

I need some advice, I already own one car that was handed down to me and its a 2000 Honda Accord Ex v6 coupe. It has roughly 210,000 miles on it. And recently the transmission has been going out. So i'm stuck with a issue because its well known that transmission work is expensive and with this car being this old there's bound to be other problems coming up soon. So I was trying to find another used car, I had the idea to trade in this Honda accord for around 1,000 and 500 from my own pocket. And the car I was looking at was a 2005 Honda Civic for 7,000. Unfortunately i was turned down for financing because I don't make enough money (monthly). I was told id have to make at least 1,300 a month to be qualified, and me being a part time employee at dollar general and a full time college student that is pretty much impossible. She did say i could get a co-signer to help, but i don't have any luck there and I would need at least 4,000 of my own money for a down payment to be able to get the Honda civic and be financed by the individual dealer instead of the bank. But I don't know what to do. I know there's dealerships that ignore credit, or at least accept any credit score. But what about people who simply don't make that much? Is there anywhere I could go to get a used car and get financed without them simply looking at my monthly salary?

Vehicle LED vs halogen energy consumption?

I'm noticing many cars now offer LED tail lights on higher trim levels such as the 2014 Honda Accord or Chevy Malibu

So I know there are a lot of benefits to having LED over halogen bulbs such as bulb temperature is cooler, lasts longer, brighter, draws less energy etc. But many automobile tail lights that use LED have many more bulbs rather than the one or two halogen they replace. Do these LED together still draw less power than halogen?

Please explain thanks.
