How tall is a Honda CRF100R?

I'm 57" and am thinking about getting a dirt bike. I rode my friend's 80R, and it felt good and was a perfect fit. I looked at the specs of the 100R, and the seat height is only two inches taller. Would this be a good fit or should I get the 90 or 80?

How to keep my motorcycle clutch from burning out?

I bought a Honda CBR500R for my first bike. I was riding over the bridge and I hit the clutch to help me get over it. I ended up getting more revs than acceleration after that. I called Cycle Center the next day and they said I had burnt out my clutch because I used it too much. Now it's going to take a week before they order the parts.

I feel like riding the clutch is a habit. But I HAVE to use it to get out of parking. Any help?

What is wrong with my motorcycle?

I just purchased a 1975 Honda XL250 in good shape with 6,000 miles on it. At the auction the tank was empty and the fuel line was disconnected, so nobody knew if it ran or not. Paid 260 for it, took it home, filled her up and connected the fuel line, and just like that she was running on 2nd kick. Now here's the weird thing. After about 4 minutes of idling or 1 minute of riding, it starts puttering and then dies. After that it won't start for about 10 minutes. Cleaned air filter and fuel filter, oil level is fine too (completely changing this week). Before we take it in, anyone have any ideas what it could be? We assumed it could be the lines are still gummed up or something (we don't know how long it had set before we bought it), or possibly needing some work in the carburetor.

Good Vintage/Classic Motorcycle for a Project?

Greetings,

I've been looking at multiple vintage Honda motorcycles to have as a project, in particular: CB 750, as well as NightHawk; I really liked the design of these "heavier" bikes in comparison to CB350. However, I never worked on motorcycles before and not really sure what to pick (in terms of how easy they are to fix and/or to find parts for). I found a similar post about the CB series thus the interest. But are there any other vintage motorcycles that any of you would suggest for a project? I was also looking at classic BMW bikes and the Russian Urals, but these are usually both rare and expensive. I would really appreciate any suggestions.

How Strict is Illinois on it's Motorcycle Engine CC license requirements?

I was doing my research and found that for motorcycles/scooters anything less than 150cc requires a class L license and anything over 150cc requires a class M in the state of Illinois. I was looking at the Honda PCX150, which based on Honda's specs, has a 153cc engine in it. Now I know that's over the 150 mark, but I was curious if anyone know from experience if the Illinois DMV is willing to let 3cc slip and allow it to be operated under a class L license.

Looking for a bike to ride in rural India (budget Rs.30-60k)?

I'm looking for a bike under 55k on road. I have no experience riding bikes with gear therefore I wanted to start with a smaller bike.

I'm now residing in a rural town where roads are not very good and people tend to drive as they like. So the bike must be durable, reliable and has good control.

I would sell the bike in a year or two and purchase a better bike once i get to learn a bit about riding. I'm almost 30, 6 feet tall and 85 kg.

We have yamaha, hero, honda, bajaj and tvs showroom here.
Which bike do you think is best for me?

Again in short, I'm looking for a bike that promises

Durability: do not want a bike that cause lot of trouble (tubeless tires etc.)

Readability: bike that do not break down often

Efficiency: i'm ready to sacrifice a bit here for comfort and good control

Entry level bike only: under Rs.30-50k I can add an additional 10k but I want my first bike to be basic and comfortable.

I'm least bothered about the looks of the bike. I just need the bike to travel 5-10Km a day.

Honda Nighthawk road trip?

About to take my first big motorcycle road trip. Going from Kansas to Texas on my 1992 Honda nighthawk 750. My question is if the bike that old will make it there and back without much trouble and if they make saddle bags and windscreens etc that fit that type of bike? Any pointers would help thanks!

First dirt bike. Experienced?

I've recently been looking into buying my first dirt bike. I'm 14, 5'11, 200 ish pounds (yes, I'm well aware of my size). My budget is anywhere in the ballpark of $1,500. I'm very experienced in off-road travel. I driven lots of Mini Bikes, Dirt Bikes, ATVs, SxS, Go-carts, Dune Buggies, and even a Sand Rail. My dad owns his own auto-repair business so buying a used bike won't be a problem. The bike will be used casually. Mainly just for fun. I 'd prefer a Honda, but any answers will help.
